BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 500-480 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 7.85 g, 11 h). ϘΡΟ Tripod with legs ending in lion's feet, and with three handles, to right, crab. Rev. ϘΡΟ Same type as the obverse, but incuse except for the legend and crab; rayed border. Attianese -. Gorini -, cf. 13 (crab on the reverse to left). HN Italy 2085 SNG ANS -. SNG Copenhagen 1745. Nicely toned. Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, good very fine.
